With a nod he sighed, glad that she wasn't going to turn his simple request into some fight. "Thank you. See, it's not that hard to be civil, right?" he asked, his tone bordering on sarcastic. He was still pissed off about the room situation, and knowing that it wasn't going to be fixed any time soon only made it worse. He put his laptop away and sighed, laying back on his bed. He didn't know what he was going to do to stay sane with this girl around. He reached over and grabbed his sketchbook, opting for a ballpoint pen rather than a pencil. Sketching out character designs would help... he hoped. It was now his turn to put on music on his headphones and zone out, his pen running lightly over the paper as he tried to ignore everything that was getting on his nerves.

Ari worked on some small doodles and sketches cute little designs. It was a little while before she decided to settle into the corner of her bed and start a bit of writing trying to make a bit of headway with the next chapter to her story. She typed rather quickly trying to get the words out on "paper" before she lost them in her head. Every once in awhile she would giggle or when she made a mistake, growl. At some point she just sighed heavily and gave up for the night before realizing how late it had gotten. A whole day gone and she didn't even realize it.

As the day wore on, his sketching could only keep him occupied for so long. Even past his music he could hear the noises she was making, and it only managed to make him more irritable. He had pretty much finished up his sketch, a concept for a sci-fi character that he'd had in his head for a while. He'd do a better drawing of it later, considering that her constant noises would end up driving him crazy if he stayed there. He clicked the pen and closed his sketchbook, getting up from his bed with a heavy sigh. He didn't say a thing to her, just left his sketchbook on the bed and walked out. To express his irritation he closed the door harder than he should have, deciding to go down and finally get something to eat. He hadn't eaten all day, and it was getting to the point that his hands were shaking.

Ari looked around taking note that her roommate had left. "Must have gone to get food..." she muttered setting her laptop aside. "I should probably do the same..." the blond sighed shutting her laptop. She bounced off her bed and moved to leave when she noticed a sketchbook on the bed. She glanced to the door then back to the bed. She was curious to see why he was so arrogant, if his work was really as good enough to warrant such a snobbish mentality. How long had he been gone though? She gnawed on her bottom lip before quickly stepping over to his bed. "Just a peek..." she muttered shifting the cover open to see some small sketches but they were very detailed and realistic. "Crap... he is really good..." she muttered under her breath almost a bit disappointed. She flipped through a couple of sketches to see that he had drawn all kinds of things but mostly character concepts. Some looked vaguely familiar she notice one slip out and closed the book setting it a side as she looked at the sketch. "hm... not bad..." she muttered seeing it was rough and obviously a draft compared to the other sketches.

Chris had got his food, and even gone so far as to eat somewhere away from the room. Just the time alone had helped his mood significantly, and coupled with a full stomach he was feeling much better than before. As he made his way back to the room he realized that he was being an asshole, and figured that if he was going to have to spend so much time around her he might as well apologize and try to smooth things over. At least that way, she wouldn't have any reason to irritate him during the precious few moments of sleep he got. He slid his ID card and stepped inside, mentally rehearsing what he was going to say. All of that vanished when he saw what she was doing. His face went pale, his eyes wide as he stared at her. "WHAT THE f**k ARE YOU DOING?!" he demanded, rushing over and yanking the paper from her hand. That sketchbook had his more adult drawings in it... the stuff that he only posted online. He grabbed the book and shoved the paper back inside, taking a step back from her as he glared at her. All thoughts of smoothing things over with her were now out the window. "Don't EVER touch my f**king stuff! What the hell is wrong with you?!"

Ari jumped when she was suddenly yelled at nearly dropping the paper. Though it didn't matter much since it was literally yanked out of her hands. She really didn't know what to do as she was still in quite a bit of shock while being yelled at. His anger was understandable, to an extent. But at the same time he didn't need to scream at her. She grit her teeth glaring back at him though she was slightly shaking. "Fine, Jerk! I was only looking at it cause it fell out! But if that's the level of work I don't need to see more!" Ari snapped before grabbing her laptop and leaving the dorm in a rush not wanting to deal with him.

Chris was fuming, staring at her as she retaliated verbally. "Good! That way you won't want to snoop through my shit again!" he yelled as she stormed out, glaring at the closed door as if it would actually help his mood. He huffed loudly and put his sketchbook back on his bed, sitting back down as he cursed under his breath. He looked through the book, wondering if she'd seen more than just the slip of paper that had fallen out. He wasn't sure, but he knew that if his 'other' artwork got found out, he'd get in serious trouble with the school. As he laid back on the bed he sighed, finally calming down. He wondered if he'd gone overboard by yelling at her like that, but it wasn't like he could help it. He just reacted before he thought was all. After a few moments he pulled a blank page out of the sketchbook and wrote out a short note, explaining that he was sorry for yelling like he did. He didn't know if she'd care or not, but he folded the note and went over to put it on her pillow anyways. He'd had enough to deal with for the day, and decided that it might be a better idea to just go to sleep. He got undressed and pulled on his pajama pants, it was still too warm to wear a shirt to bed. He climbed under the covers after turning off the lights, sighing heavily as he let his eyes close and draw him into sleep.

Ari got her lunch from the mess hall managing to grab some of the leftovers before it closed then sat outside to eat. After being inside for so long it was nice to get out, at least at night it was when the sun wasn't blaring hot. The teen lingered after she ate doing some web surfing and replying to comments on the art blogs. It was relaxing and it helped her cool off after yet another outburst. Granted it was her fault this time. Ari stayed out until she felt herself starting to nod of. She nearly fell asleep if not for her head slipping off of her hand jolting her awake. "I should head back." She yawned closing her laptop and shuffling her way back up stairs. "He's got to be asleep by now..." she muttered to herself as she reached the room. Arianna reach her room without much of a fus though she did get suspicious looks from some of the campus guards who were patrolling. Ari fished out her card and swiped it to open the door before remembering him mentioning his insomnia. I can at least be quiet... she sighed softly before entering the room as quietly as she could, silently shutting the door behind her. She shuffled to her bed and slipped her laptop into it's case before shifting to grab some clothes to change into. So far so go... at least he's not awa- The teen froze mid motion as she started to change shirts. "He... OH MY GOD THEY PUT ME WITH A GUY!" She panicked looking over to see he had yet to move before quickly grabbing her stuff and running to the bathroom.

Chris had just fallen asleep when she came back in, her silence leaving him blissfully unconscious. It wasn't until she scampered into the bathroom did he wake up, letting out a low groan as he sat up. The room was dark aside from a light coming from the bathroom, which he narrowed his eyes at. "Seriously? I f**king told her that I'm a light sleeper..." he groaned quietly, swinging his legs over the edge of the bed. He felt exhausted, and knew it would take him a while to get back to sleep. He decided to just wait, figuring a glare in her direction when she finally came out would remind her. He didn't really care that he was shirtless, he was too tired to care.

Ari panted softly as she leaned up against the door. How could she have been so dense not to realized the very small but important details that her roommate was a guy! Normally she'd only have other female roommates, there were Co-ed dorms but there was only one building on the other side of the campus. Unless they had expanded it? Had they? She gnawed on her bottom lip in thought not really remembering any kind of alert or updated. She had gotten so caught up at the frustrating tendencies of her roommate she completely overlooked his gender or the awkwardness which would happen from sharing the same room. "This can't be right..." she muttered softly as she shuffled to the bathroom setting her clothes down. Various worries and different fears sparking up. She took several deep breaths before shaking her head. "Just... have to calm down... it's fine..." she reminded herself before splashing her face with cold water. The teen changed out of her clothes into a tank top and shorts, her normal sleep wear. She made a mental note to talk with student services the next day and confirm if the arrangement would even be possible or if she could switch with someone else. Last thing she wanted was even more issues with him. After a good 15 minutes of debating and talking herself down she shuffled her way out of the bathroom clothes in hand. The teen was fairly distracted as she emerged shutting off the light and setting her clothes in the closet trying to be quiet.

As Chris waited, he wondered if there would be any way to get out of this. Find an apartment near the school? Rent a house? He needed to do something, otherwise he'd end up going mad. He could only hope that financial aid could help him get out of the dorms. He watched her as she walked out, frowning slightly. If he weren't in such a bad mood, seeing her in the clothes she wore might make him blush, but he had other things to worry about at the moment. "Did you really need to run into the bathroom like that? Walking doesn't work for some reason?" he asked suddenly. It was obvious by the tone in his voice that he was agitated, as he'd been the entire day so far. He normally wasn't like that, but this girl seemed to find every single button he had and push it.

Ari nearly jumped out of her skin when he spoke up not expecting him to even be awake. She stumbled a bit before looking over her shoulder almost a bit panicked."Ah... uh... sorry..." she fumbled before shuffling to her bed significantly more tensed.

Chris sighed, watching her as she moved to her bed. "What's your deal, anyways? I mean, you go through my stuff, you have a horrible attitude towards me, you don't let me sleep..." he said, sighing heavily. "Don't worry about it." he finally said, letting the matter drop. "I'm gonna start looking for an apartment or something tomorrow anyways. If I can get any sleep." He sighed and stretched, getting up to grab a water bottle from his stuff. After he took a drink he set it on his nightstand and climbed back into bed with a heavy sigh.

Ari sat on her bed when he started rambling and her nervousness dropped as she grew annoyed. "Ever think the only reason why you think that is cause you've been a jerk the whole time." She snapped before laying back on her bed and quickly rolling over so her back was to him. "Whatever, sooner your gone the better." She grumbled before shifting to try and get some sleep. Any hunt of nerve was gone as she huffed annoyed at her room mate.

He grunted at that, turning over on his side to face her. Not that it mattered, her back was to him anyways. "Well, you're certainly not helping things. I admit I was a bit of an ass earlier, but that's only because I hadn't gotten any sleep, hadn't eaten anything, and then found out that the school screwed me over on my room. I was going to apologize, but when I came back you were going through my stuff." he said, propping his head up with his hand as he sighed. His temper started to flare again when she spoke, laying his head back on his pillow with a huff. "Yeah, couldn't agree more." he said sharply, turning over to try and go back to sleep. "Goodnight." he added, just as sharply. He was done trying to deal with this girl, it seemed like she was determined to just keep pissing him off.
