Ed went to investigate the files Zeek had mannaged to find. As muzai walked up to the bed with the Injured wolf. She stared at the wolf confused as to why there was a deep sense of worry and relief upon seeing the wolf that she couldnt explain she tried to look away from him but Tears started streaming from the Fox's eyes as she wiped them away Furiously freaked out over the way her body was reacting." What the..what the hell is wrong with me.." she said her voice tightening as her body seemed to start crying out of nowhere. " Maxie.. what the hell is happening..." she hiccuped. Meanwhile Connor finnally calmed down resting against the door he unlocked it. " Great...Just F***ing great, Alex is going to be a joy to reason with now.." he grumbled.

Ella heard Connor muttering and grew worried. she moved tot he door knocking on it before opening it "Connor... are you okay?" she asked softly hoping the boy wants starting to relapse.
Maxie sighed hevily and hugged the girl. "It's ok. It's porbably because of some of the memories that havent surfaced yet... Zeek here was one of the Alpha hybrids..." she reassured not going into details.
a blank screen sat before head with the same three folders that greeted connor when he opened the flash drive.

Connor panted softly leaning foward so she could come in.Connor Looked up at her there was a dark look in his eyes. " They're using Jacob's Root to Keep Manipulate him and heaven knows whatelse hes using to twist Alex's mental state...Its worse than we thought ella...Its not Just from Miquel we'll have to protect him from.. but himself..That stuff has a way of twisting your mind so far backwards you dont know which way is up or how to breath without proper instruction.."

Ella frowned worriedly before pulling Connor into a hug knowing he had first had experience with the drug. "We'll save him... and get him back into a right state of mind..." she forced a small smile. "I'm sure Maxie and Aaron can find a way to counteract it... or a least make the detox happen quicker... we just have to focus on getting him out of their first. Ok?"

Connor Hugged the girl tightly. Nodding but he wasnt thoroughly convinced. " I just watched part one... they did more to him than ' conditioning' Everyone reacts differently to the root... I dont want him ending up as just another madman's tool Ella...I Dont want my brother suffering the same darkness I had to deal with...hes suffered enough under Dad.. he doesnt need my demons."
Meanwhile Muzai hugged Maxie letting the weird emotions leak out. Beginning to settle again. " I guess the old me was a bit relieved seeing he was alive.." she sniffled still freaked out. " This didnt happen often did it? And is he going to be alright?" she asked Maxie feeling a bit Mortified for the sudden sob.

"Everyone is different connor... everyone has their demons... even I have my own. Zander has had his for a long time.... even before his memories were erased... only thing we can do is help him through it."
Maxie pet the girls head softly "No... Zeek rarely ever got hurt this bad... but he'll be ok now. Just out of comission for a couple of weeks..."

Connor nodded running his fingers softly through the girl's hair lovingly. " Im sorry, you've always helped me with mine that I never stop to think you had them too...can you ever forgive me for being selfish.youre right, we'll get him back.. I just hope we reach him in time.."
" From what I hear... its gonna be a few Rough weeks...Might be best to keep him sedated a while to heal the bulk of his injuries..his friend is still trapped..hes not going to rest quietly... not for weeks." she said softly thinking how she'd react if she was in his shoes.

Ella blushed before looking up at him taking his head in her hands so he he could keep eye contact. "Connor... I didn't say that so you can feel guilty... honestly helping you is helping me confront my own. ok?" She smiled slightly. "So how about we go and figure out the weak spots to exploit?"
Maxie sighed "as it is he wont wake up for a few days... hopefully he'll have detoxed by then... if he puts up a fight we'll sedate him otherwise he might have a great deal of info we need to get Zander back..."

Connor smiled back slightly nodding his cheeks being this close and being held by her.For once glad someone didnt treat him like a defective creature or some monster that needed to be put down.
Muzai Nodded sighing. " He's going to be a handful...we might have to take shifts to make sure he doesnt do anything...Foolish.If hes anything Like his Creators this should be some Verry interesting weeks ahead." commented muzai

Maxie chuckled softly. "We'll manage... its not the first time." She smiled sloftly before glancing over at the door wondering what ed was up too, he'd been pretty quiet. "I'm a little more worried about ed and connor..."
Ella nodded ruddling his hair softly trying not to give into her impulses to kiss the boy silly until he realized he was worth a lot more than he thought.
Meanwhile Ed had clicked the first file on the list which opened up to a plethera of notes, clips and documentation of the experiments Zander had been subjected to.

Muzai nodded " he hasnt been the same all afternoon.. not since he got your call... His mind has also been in a very dark place...sorry I couldnt help but to read his mind some. The wolf wasnt the only one to go through terrible things..Ed is very upset over this."Said the girl looking over at the door that Ed went to.
Connor leaned into her soft touch simply enjoying it while he could. The thought of Ella dissapearing for good scared him,but it scared him even more to realize just how attached to her he'd become.He only wished he knew how to keep her safe from the inevitable.

Ella chuckled softly unable to help her self she found the blond just too darn cute. She leaned in and kissed his forehead figuring it was a happy medium. "Feel better?"
Maxie nodded slightly, "Alexander... its who were going to look for... one of Antonio's former pet projects and Eds long lost son of sorts." Maxie explained. "The kids pretty messed up....and bsing in Miquels hands for a year... who knows how bad he is now. Knowing Ed he feels guilty he failed to help the boy... again..."
Edd scanned through the files trying to remain as half as possibly to see what the would eb dealing with once they got into the base. but he wasnt ready for what was before him. Hundreds of tests had been ran on the teen. Tests range from increasing pain endurance by exposing him to a large amounts of pain mostly electricity and fire. The reactions to the mutation serums slowly altering his genetic make up and his body overall. A few nearly killing him due to a bad mixture or the concentration. A list had been kept of all the successful alteration like Minor shape shifting, inhuman speed, pyrokensis, electrical current manipulation, ect. As well as the side effects like poor control of body temprature and seizures. certaint test were literally designed to break the boy putting him in situation no one not even Ethan in his prime could overcome.

Ed Read through the tests his eyes darkening with every experiment and word he read. He watched few files of the actual videoed Trials his muscles tense hes Jaw shut tight. He sat through the entire file before going to the Next two on Mental Conditioning and Progress Guilt and Hate Slowly twisting in his gut. There would be no sleep for him not until Alex was back in safe hands,Or if miquel was dead or he was.
Muzai eyes narrowed at the door Ed was in worriedly. " You might want to start working on some sedatives too I dont think Hes going to want to rest willingly, not after seeing whats on that file." She looked over at the wolf again once her body has calmed down enough. " Was he always so rash in taking on a Grunt?" Muzai commented pointing to the Veins as she survey the damage done to the wolf". I would say it will be about a Month or two till hes anything close to normal... His leg doesnt look good either. He wont be able to get very far if he tries to make a break for it."
Connor Gasped in surprise by the kiss to his forehead no one had kissed him like this before it was gentle and sweet and it sent a warm tingle through him calming his nerves. His cheeks turned pink again only Ella would do something this out of the ordinary.He Nodded dumbfounded and Astonished by her.Ella was not normal and he loved her all the more for it.

Ella blushed heavily when connor stared at her unsure by his silence, sh realized she was still holding his face and her blush deepend. "Sorry..." she muttered letting him go.
Maxie sighed "I don't think any alpha has had to fight a grunt... From what Ed recalled their was a dozen off them.. all dead." she muttered
The conditioning files were more disturbing then the experimental, each one detailing some kind of "therapy" Miquel tried to get more controle over the boy. some failing while others only partially succeeded. it seemed Zander was baffling even to Miquels scientists some things sticking with Zander from his time with Antonio. The boy already believed he was little more than a weapon a tool used to kill and gain information. Miquel had subjected the boy to everything from utter solitude and silence to overbearing recordings of Antonios taunts. There was a list of drugs administered daily all noting side effects that came with them. All were designed to induce a hypnotic effect on the mind, some pertinently altering the mind. In the progress file was possibly the tamest out of the tree stating simple summery of everything done over the year. There were notations of what serums, drugs and procedures done and how he reacted. But at the bottom was a file that was simply labeled Black out. inside an alternate project where Miquel tried to harness the anger and rage Zander showed during his rage episodes. Figuring out how to induce them on demand and how to snap him out of it. Figuring out ways to make it so he killed with out discrimination or hesitation. There were some clips of The boy locked in an arena with Antonio look a likes to set him off the rampages lasting sometimes an hour or more before exhaustion set in and he collapsed. The targets changing from look a likes to drones, to even other faulty experiments.

Connor puts his hands over hers gently as she started to pull away. He shook his head reaching up he held her head gently mimicing the way she held his. His mind raced. ~ Ah F**K it!~ he thought. He leaned foward kissing her lips instead of her forehead tensing slightly Expecting her to react violently.
" A Dozen? I thought A group of Five could Take out a Legion and keep going..Whoever wanted these boys wanted them bad...Ed mentioned A Miquel... Whos he?The name Rings a bell but its in that classified part of my head that I cant reach...so a Review would be nice." mumbled Muzai She still Examined the boy for clues of what his captivity was like and what Resorces the madman needed.
Ed's eyes went black and Narrowed into slights as his fingers moved faster Pulling up imbedded information in the files.
Ellas eyes widen as she froze in place not expecting the boy to actually kiss her. Her face 4 shades darker of read as she tentitivly slid her arms around the boys neck and shyly kissed him back.
It was clear to see Zeek had a lot of recovering to do. He was malnourished, suffered a great deal of muscle loss, a lot of scaring from ill healed wounds, the grunt toxin is has been nullified but his nerves still need to recover, a broken arm, nearly broken leg couple with cripling misxle damage no doubt from one of the grunts claws. Still he had soem color back into his skin, he was rehydrated and the venom was slowly draining. Maxie sighed softly. "Miquel.... used to be part of our team... it was Aaron, Myself, Ed, Lilly and him... but where we wanted to create and improve life his only concern was making things stronger no mater the cost... he even tested a few serum out on himself. Long story short he grew jeleous that we succeeded while he failed.. all of his subjects died or were to mal deformed to function properly... so he resented us."
In eds search he pulled up some notes zeek had made of the facility like where potential week spots were, pass codes to different doors, access terminals that were easy to hack. it was obvious that the wolf had been working long and hard on an escape plan.
Connor Flinched feeling her arms Slide across his neck and became confused as she kissed him back shyly. It was official, he was Dreaming, yeah or having a dillusion again there was no way this was actually happening He let go of her His Face Flushed quite red."Y-you shouldnt be sorry."
" So why is he after Zeek and Zander...to continue his projects?Or was it Mostly Zander he was after and Zeek was simply collateral " Asked Muzai unsure there was something about this that was right on the tip of her toungue it frustrated her to be so close to the answer yet have no clue." you know its annoying only having leftover memories.."
" apparantly not hard enough" Muttered Edward to himself the Passcodes couldve all changed by now but alteast he now had an Idea of what the facility was like and where to find certain things. His blood had boiled over knocking him into a murderous calm he had grown used to in his younger years. He got up having enough of watching the boy Get tortured turning off the Computer. He exited the room Far too quietly than what the others were used to.
Ella flushed furiously utterly speachless on what to really say after the kiss. She'd never really kissed anyone or in any kind of relationship before. "O...k...." she muttered softly not moving her arms from around his neck.
Maxie shruge "my guess is it started with Zeek... but Zander was the one who helped all of us escape and blew up Miquels lab... so Revenge is probably what initially started all this.. I dont know what happen to zander so i cant say much more..." she muttered before looking up as the door opened Maxie stepping back slightly shen she noticed eds expression and utter silence. ~oh... great...~ "Ed...?"
Connor wasnt sure what to say either. He'd never been this close to anyone,this was unknown territory" Why havent you started to hit and scream at me yet?" he said confused.
Ed didnt respond his eyes Dark and narrow as he stared at the ground."Going to...Clean things..." He grumbled low.Walking towards the armory.
Maxie sighed "Ed... are you going to clean the weapons or take them on some crazy mission?" she asked knoing the man too well
Ella blinked "why would i do that?"
" Both..if I get through cleaning them all and Have nothing to kill" he answered sharply walking towards the weapons not looking back at the woman.
Connor looked down " because I deserve it? I-I kissed you.why arent you upset for me doing so without permission." It was then Ella realized Just how else the boy was abused in the Insane Asylum.A pretty thing like him couldve brought in a lot of money.
Maxie sighed letting the blond go knwoing he needed some time to cool off. still it unerved her when he got in that mode. "Lovely... one more screw loose..." she muttered running her fingers through her hair.
Ella frowned slightly not really sure how to answer the boy she just pulled him into a very tight hug "Connor... you have nothing to be sorry for" she muttered softly tightenign her hug around him.
Connor Hugged her back just as tight. " But why?" asked the boy confused.He knew he liked her, could she possibly like him the same too?No.Impossible.Thinking like that would get him into more trouble.
Muzai Looked over at Maxie." Well thats a new one for me...Should I go after him?"
"in about an hour.... let him cool off some... if hes not better Ill have aaron go in and talk to him..." Maxie muttered looking down ad the fox girl.
Ella smiled shyly "Cause... I... uh... Like you..." she muttered shly burring her face in his hair
Connor's heart beat alittle faster his face flushed." Y-you like me? I-I like you, Ella, A-alot, For quite some time r-really.."The boy confessed looking at the girl Shyly a smile forming on his face.~ she likes me!~
" Great... just how many people with mental issues do we HAVE around here?!" asked muzai." theres me, Con, Possibly you and aarron if we consider your pasts, and now Agent Orange over there. who's next?"
Maxie laughed. "We all have issues... and we all balence eachother out" she ruffled the girls hair. "Learn to accept it kid."
Ella smiled "Looks like we were both to scared to say anything..."
Muzai smirked " yeah well I'd like to know what kinda nuts make up the package here before we Jump head first into Danger. Speaking of Aarron Probably best he keep the Grunt thing on the Downlow when the Redhead wakes up. Especially if he's babysitting"
Maxie chuckled "Good luck figuring us alll out before then" she kissed the girls for head. "dont worry... Aaron rarly shows it..."
Muzai smiled Nodding. "Is there anything I can do to help?" she offered. Her ears twiched as she grinned " bout damn time they realized it" smirked the girl slightly.
Connor blushed nodding " I honestly thought you were interested in Alex..or possibly even Zeek. So...I didnt say anything.Besides im not exactly...likeable."
Maxie smiled slightly. "I think its time everyone took a break and got some lunch... want to helpl?"
Ella chuckled lightly "No... Zeek is just... well zeek... and I felt kinda responsible for Alex... cause I'm part of the reason hes so messed up..." she muttered softly
Muzai smiled" Gladly but I think we should leave Con and Ella be for now.." Muzai left to do just as she was asked Warning Aarron and having him Help swing Edward back into his normal mode which left the 24 year old a bit exhausted and Hungry agreeing to the food Idea.
Connor shook his head " Alex and Zander have been messed up for a long long time... Tony is to blame for all this. But I can help but fell guilty too..I shouldve found some way to smuggle him out while I could. Always thought Dad wouldve Treated him LIke a Prince. I guess I was Really wrong about that..."
Ella sighed softly "i certaintly didnt help matters..." she muttered resting her head on his shoulder and hugging him abit tighter. "Bit I.. really do like you connor... I just... wasnt sure how you would react or if you would belive me..."
Maxie fixed up a large lunch of hot and cold sandwiches along with a number of side dishes why kept in the fridge. Chase caught the scent of food and came bouncing inside from the yard with Anabeth not to far behind. He grinned spotting the familiar blonds and pounced on ed. "Uncle!"
Daniela Noblick: Ed yelped Going down with the Boy Laughing as he Hugged the young grunt." Chase! Oh Look at you! You keep getting bigger everyday! My goodness!" smiled the blond petting the boy." Not Giving your Auntie A hard time are you?" Annabeth grinned " Hardly."
Samara: Chase giggled as he clung to his uncle lovingly nuzzling him. "No I've been a really good boy!"
Connor shook his head " you did what you could...Honestly if He hadnt gotten Trapped by this madman. If he Got the chance to live a normal life Taking him back to Alex would've probably have been the best thing or him.Even if he'll hate my Guts to Kingdome come and deserves to." He nuzzled her gently." I guess we were both scared of each other, but then I did say some pretty mean things to you too...Im sorry I made you cry. "
Ella couldnt help a small giggled as the bit of stubble Connor had tickled her neck. "I-its alright..."
Edward smiled his heart Ligtening just by being in his nephew's presence. " Good boy. Now you better get something to eat dont forget to wash your hands and Under your claws" he grinned ruffling the boy's hair.
Connor smiled " no, it was Really cruel of me"
Chase growled softtly nipping eds hand playfully. "I will, I will" he whined before running off to the bathroom to wash up. Maxie smiled thankful for the boys energy for brighting an otherwise dready day.
Ella sighed softly "You are forgiven..." she replied knowing he wouldnt belive her if she said it didnt hurt. She kissed his cheek softly before brushing some of the hair from his eyes.
Connor smiles softly resting his forehead against hers gently. "I heard something about Lunch. we should probably get to that.."
Ella flushed abit and nodded "Yeah... we should" she smiled slightly before reluctantly pulling away from connor and openening the door so the two of them could exit just as Chas ran by "My paws are clean!" He cheered. Ella giggled softly before stepping out with connor.
